2nd IIR Workshop on Refrigerant Charge Reduction
IN Refrigerating Systems

- RCR 2010 -

2nd Atelier IIF sur la Réduction de la Charge en Frigorigène
dans les Systèmes Frigorifiques

KTH, Stockholm, Sweden

June 16-17, 2010

IIR commissions involved: B1 and B2 with D1, D2 E1 and E2

Overview

The International Institute of Refrigeration is a scientific and technical intergovernmental organization enabling pooling of scientific and industrial know-how in all refrigeration fields on a worldwide scale (www.iifiir.org).

Venue

The conference will be held at at the campus of the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden, on June 16-17, 2010.

Sustainable Refrigeration and Heat Pump Technology

We are pleased to inform you that the RCR 2010 will be held in combination with the Conference: Sustainable Refrigeration and Heat Pump Technology (http://www.sustainablerefrigeration.org) to be held in Stockholm, June 13 – 16, 2010.

RCR2010 will take place from June 16th to June 17th, 2010. June 16th will be common for both events.

Both events are going to be held at exactly the same place: the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). In this way the attendants can attend to either of the two events or to both.

Objectives of the workshop

RCR 2010 is the second edition of this workshop. The first edition was held with great success at Cemagref, Antony, France, April 6-7, 2009.

The workshop is organised under the frame of the IIR Working Party on Refrigerant Charge Reduction.

The objectives of this series of workshops is to bring together scientists, researchers and people from industry working with refrigerant charge reduction in refrigerating systems in order to discuss the latest developments in this field.

Organizing Committee

Prof. Björn PALM, KTH (chairman)

Dr. Hélène MACCHI-TEJEDA, Cemagref

Prof. José M. CORBERAN, UPV

Conducting of sessions

All sessions will be conducted in English.

Conference proceedings

A CD-ROM will be given at the conference.

Language

The official language of the conference is English.

Technical tour

Technical tours will be organized on Friday, June 18th. See program.

Industry partners

RCR 2010 will bring together scientists, researchers and manufacturers dealing with refrigerant charge reduction in refrigerating systems and air conditioning in order to discuss the latest developments in this field (compact heat exchangers, secondary fluids, substitution of flooded evaporators, new control methods of the installation to minimize the refrigerant amount, optimization of the liquid line, ...).

As you probably have developed new systems, we offer you the opportunity to present your point of view on industrial achievements and innovations that enable refrigerant charge reduction. Also we would very much appreciate if you could contribute to this day; your participation could take three forms:

1-Oral presentation

You could make a short presentation of the various systems, equipments or concepts that your company commercializes which promote refrigerant charge reduction. The presentations must concentrate on technical aspects of systems and avoid pure commercialism.

2- Sponsorship of the event

Insert of your logo on the conference program, in the proceedings and on the web site:

The location of your logo will depend on the amount of your donation (from 400€) (workshop registration fee not included).

The 2nd International IIR RCR 2010 workshop will offer an opportunity for companies to reach an audience with a strong interest in that field. With research experts and industry players from around the world discussing the latest research, current issues facing the industry and delivering an updated overview of what the future holds, this is a not to be missed opportunity for companies to become involved in this event.

3- Both oral presentation and sponsorship

Do not hesitate to contact us for further information.

Scheduled on Thursday, June 17th. See program.
