Atelier IIF sur la Réduction de la Charge en Frigorigène
dans les Systèmes Frigorifiques
IIE-UPV,
Valencia, Spain
October 25-26, 2012
IIR commissions involved: B1 &
B2 with D1, D2, E1 & E2
Overview
The
International Institute of Refrigeration is a scientific and technical
intergovernmental organization enabling pooling of scientific and industrial
know-how in all refrigeration fields on a worldwide scale (www.iifiir.org).
Venue and Social Program Outline
The conference will be held at the campus
of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), Valencia, Spain, on October 25-26, 2012.
Valencia (http://www.turisvalencia.es/home.aspx)
is situated at the Mediterranean cost and enjoys excellent beaches and a very
nice climate. Its population is round about 1.000.000 people. It has good and
frequent connections by train and aeroplane from Madrid and Barcelona. High
speed train (AVE) Madrid-Valencia takes 95 minutes.
The Universitat Politècnica de València is the
second university in Valencia grouping all the technical studies. It provides
education to approx. 30.000 students.
A social event
and the Workshop banquet will be offered the evening of October 25th.
Objectives of the workshop
This Workshop series is part of the work
program of the IIR Working Party on Refrigerant Charge Reduction.
The objective of it is to bring together
scientists, researchers and people from industry working with refrigerant
charge reduction in refrigerating systems in order to discuss the latest
developments in this field.
RCR 2012 is the third edition of this
Workshop.
The first edition was held at Cemagref, in Antony, France, on April 6-7, 2009. The second
edition was held at KTH, in Stockholm, Sweden, on June 16-17, 2010.
Both previous editions were a considerable
success with around 50 participants each.
Conducting of sessions
All sessions
will be conducted in English.
Conference proceedings
The conference
proceedings will be given in electronic format at the conference.
Language
The official
language of the conference is English.
Contributions are invited in any fundamental or
applied topic related with the subject of the Workshop; in particular recent
advances and new developments on the following topics:
1. Design of low refrigerant charge
systems
2. Thermodynamics in compact heat
exchangers
- State of the art of current technologies
in terms of refrigerant charge
- Heat transfer, flow, pressure losses,
void fraction in compact heat exchangers
- Distribution and optimization of
refrigeration circuitry
3. Design of innovative plants/components
for reduced charge systems
4. Economic and environmental assessments
